Once I open my books, I will leave them open for a few days up to a week or so and allow everyone the chance to send in an inquiry. I understand that people have work and lives and that not every one can make a first come first serve type deadline. So to be clear, I do NOT book on a first come first serve basis. I want everyone to have a fair chance. 

The inquires are then divided into folders based on half day, whole day, and multiple day projects. Which allows me the ability to fill the time slots with the correct times to complete the projects. And as the slots become fewer and fewer, less and less projects are able to fit in. text goes here

At this time, I am booking on a quarterly basis (Mar, Jun, Sep, Dec). Books will open on the first of the month prior to the quarter I’m scheduling (ex. June 1st for July through September). Keep an eye on my Instagram (@marcnelsonart) for updates!

The easiest way to explain how I approach things is through this Halloween Candy example: 

Imagine you head out on Halloween night to Trick or Treat. You come home and have a big bag of candy and you think to yourself, oh man, I can totally eat all of these! Then your hopes are shattered when your parent says, you can only have 40 pieces of the candy.

Now are you going to just reach into the bag and eat the first 40 pieces you grab? Probably not. You're going to dump the bag onto the bed and grab all of your favorites!

But if you have a particularly rough Halloween night, and you come home with 23 pieces of candy and you still can have up to the 40 pieces, then I bet you'd eat all 23 pieces. Even if they were peppermints.

Unfortunately with the number of requests I get, I can’t always fit everyone in. I give priority scheduling to projects I’m most interested in before getting to other pieces, so you may be toward the end of the quarter if you’re looking for something else.

If your project is something I’m not interested in, I will definitely let you know. Just because this project didn’t get picked doesn’t mean you can’t get tattooed by me. I always encourage everyone to submit again next time if they have another idea.

I am always open to trying new things, but here is a list of things I really enjoy doing. If you are requesting a tattoo based off of any of this subject matter, you will be more likely to get selected!

If you need to reschedule or cancel an upcoming appointment, please get ahold of me as soon as you can. My schedule is always pretty full, but I do work in a few days a month for reschedules. A reschedule/cancelation withing 48 hrs of your appointment will forfeit your deposit, and you will be required to put another one down before the new appointment is made.
